INFORMATION ABOUT THE PREPARATION

LESSONS: We will have telepresential lessons every 2 weeks (Friday afternoon from 16h to 20h or Saturday morning from 9h to 13h, depending on the preference of the majority of the students). The platform I use is Microsoft Teams (you will be provided with a Microsoft 365 Business Basic account prior to the course starting date). After every lesson, I will upload the written summary of the lesson itself, the materials we have covered and the ones you need for the following week, detailed explanations of the contents, and a list of tasks for the week. It is essential for you to fulfill them in order to consolidate contents and progress adequately. Doing so, everything will be covered long before the day of the exam. In the weeks when we do not have telepresential lessons, I will upload a written explanation of the contents to be covered this specific week, materials, and I will also provide you with some tasks to do. We will start the last week of September 2025. In short, we will have a telepresential lesson ('online lessons' from now on) one week, and a written lesson the following one ('platform lessons' from now on). Classes won't be held during the Christmas and Easter holidays. 

VOLUMES (TEMARIO): Volumes will be delivered by post (not online) in three times. Topics are ready to be studied (already summarized) with all the necessary elements included. Nevertheless, it is highly recommended to adapt and personalize the topics. In case you want to develop your own topics, I can offer you support and guidelines.

RESOLUTION OF DOUBTS: Doubts will be solved in the lessons, and, apart from that, I will create a forum for the class. Write down any questions when they arise and ask them in the forum (alternatively, you may use the private chat of Microsoft Teams or e-mail if you consider they are of no interest to the rest of candidates). I will communicate personally with you using the private chat of Microsoft Teams or using e-mail. Tutorials will also be used to solve doubts (how to proceed with tutorials is explained in the following section).

FOLLOW-UP: 

• COURSE PLAN: We shall cover each of the sections individually, and work with samples from previous candidates who got a post. Once you have drawn up your complete Course Plan and carried out your own self-evaluation (you shall be provided with an evaluation checklist), you may send it to me for the first revision. You are all entitled to two full corrections on my part on this part. 

• TEACHING UNITS: We shall cover methodological issues, questions concerning lesson planning and teaching approaches throughout the whole course; we shall also work with samples from previous candidates who got a post. All this will allow you to develop innovative units, and to stand out from the rest of candidates. I will conscientiously revise 6 of your units. You may think it is not enough, but after after reviewing each of the first six units one by one over a period of time (never all together), the following six will be created without any errors. 

• ORAL DEFENCE: We shall work with video samples from previous candidates who obtained a post, and you will be provided with documents concerning the nature of the oral defence, public speaking skills, evaluation checklists, and tips to excel. There will be two ways in which you may present your oral defence:

- Digitally: you will record yourself at home/your school and send the video to me via Teams. Do not worry if you have not done it before; I will provide you with detailed instructions regarding how to proceed.

- In the online lessons: These lessons will be organized from February onwards for you to present your defences at the online classroom where the lessons will be held.

• TOPICS: I will evaluate your knowledge on the topics twice during the year. You will have 2 mock exams, one in February and one in May. I will correct your exam, give you feedback and comments on how to improve. 

• PRACTICAL PART: I will provide you with 28 practices, along with many different exercises, strategies and models from other years in order to get a high mark in this part. You will also be examined of this part in the mock exams mentioned in the preceding section.

• TUTORIALS: Students may request tutoring up to 3 times a year. Tutorials will last a maximum of 45 minutes, and will be arranged in advance by both parts at an specific date and time. 

PRICE: 190€/month (including online lessons and platform lessons, tutorials, materials, Microsoft Teams 365 Business Basic license, follow-up, corrections, shipping costs of the volumes, paper volumes, etc.). 

HOW TO RESERVE A PLACE: There is NO tuition fee, however, in order to reserve a place, the payment corresponding to the month of June 2027 (190€) must be done in advance. If you drop out of the course before June 2027, this month's payment will be lost.
